About our club
Established in 1921, the RAOB Club, Carlisle, has a long history of serving the local community and club members, as well as being the home of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) in Carlisle and district.
On our ground floor, you’ll find a spacious pub area with traditional British design, serving a variety of refreshments both alcoholic and otherwise at reasonable prices, together with friendly staff and a variety of loyal visitors and one-off guests. You’ll also find our snooker/billiard room, with two regulation size tables with full facilities, as well as darts boards and TVs for local and international events
Head over to our first floor, and you’ll find our concert room – a large venue with seating for over 100 people, with a stage and audio/visual set up, as well as an upstairs bar. We host regular bingo nights and have entertainment on during the weekend. At the back, you’ll find a purpose-built RAOB lodge room, one of only three remaining in the country. The is the home of RAOB in Carlisle, as well as serving other local clubs and communities.
The club is open to all – whether you fancy a drink, want to join one of our weekend events, or you’re looking for a space for your club, band or social/corporate event. Get in touch, and we’ll work something out!
